Installation of New Sidewalks

Sidewalk Repairs
COD does installation of new sidewalks and repairs broken or damaged sidewalks for both residential and commercial use. When installing new sidewalks it is very important to use the correct PSI (Pounds per Square Inch) which is a rating used for the strength of the concrete. There are different approximate PSI’s for different applications. Sidewalks are normally 3,000 or 3,500 PSI.

Packing the concrete forces out air bubbles and voids that weaken a slab. When you pour concrete, air pockets get trapped against forms, leaving voids in vertical surfaces.

Sidewalks should be at least 4″ thick and in some cases are 6″ thick, depending on the load they must bear. It is also very important to slope the walk away from buildings to provide proper drainage. Call COD today for a free estimate for all of your sidewalk needs.
